Wild Food Foraging (Autumn) at RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond

Autumn is a fantastic time to look for food in the wild. Hedgerows are full of fruits and berries and there's an abundance of seeds around. Hawthorn, elderberry, rowan and rosehips are all bursting with colour and flavour at this time of year and are just a few ingredients you'll be able to try on this food foraging taster menu.

We'll help you safely identify wild edibles, share how to harvest and use them in your cooking and give you pre-prepared delicious tasters made with the wild ingredients we come across. As well as the knowledge you'll get along the way, you'll also be given some recipes to take home and try for yourself.

This is an outdoor event, please wear appropriate clothing and remember sturdy shoes. Please always forage responsibly.
