Join one of the Ouse Fen wardens, for a walk around the newly flooded reedbeds where Bitterns are making their homes. An evening walk is one of the best times to experience booming Bitterns. There is also the potential to see sky dancing Marsh Harriers, plus lots more.
You will also see how Hanson and the RSPB are working together to create Ouse Fen nature reserve, Britain’s biggest reedbed, from a working sand and gravel quarry.
What to bring
Please bring your own binoculars and come suitably dressed for a very early start when it could be rather chilly. Please wear boots or wellies as some paths are muddy.
