You can also hire an Explorer Backpack, stuffed with kit to help youngsters get the most from their visit, including seasonal wildlife guide, binoculars and spotting sheet.
Pick up a picnic - or bring your own - from our visitor centre, with a great range of sandwiches, snacks and drinks available to buy. Find your favourite picnic table or bring a blanket and relax on the grass.
The quiz trail ends at our Wild Play area, with den building, stump steps and log balance beams for some fun in the forest.
Quiz trail and Explore Backpacks available daily from 9.30am-4pm, priced £2/£3 respectively. No need to pre-book, just collect from the visitor centre (backpacks subject to availability). Normal non-member entry fees apply. Wild Play area open daily at no additional charge.
