Nightjars and other heathland wildlife

Dusk is a magical time to explore Minsmere’s heathlands. Look for special heathland wildlife, including Dartford warblers and stonechats, then listen for the mechanical song of the nightjar, as the sun sets, before our guides introduce you to the many mysterious sounds of the night. Please bring a torch as it will be dark when these walks finish.

You will meet at the visitor centre, then drive in convoy to the start of the walk. If you are planning to attend without a car, please contact us in advance to check on an alternative meeting point.

Please note that in the event of wet weather being forecast we may move this event to Wednesday night or cancel it completely. A decision will be made by Monday lunchtime, and you will be contacted about any change in arrangements.
