Spend a hands-on, inspirational morning, afternoon or twilight with the “Giving Nature a Home in Cardiff” outdoor education team from RSPB, Cardiff Council and The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.
We’ll share our hints, tips and resources in a practical outdoor session at a local park. For those who can’t travel, we offer an online webinar to share the same resources.
Our aim is to help teachers gain confidence in taking curriculum learning outdoors through all the seasons, so children can be given year-round opportunities to develop an exciting curiosity in nature.
1. Understand how outdoor learning can deliver the Welsh Curriculum in school.
2. Understand how pupils can create & maintain habitats in school grounds.
3. Benefit from an increased confidence in identifying and learning about plants and animals with pupil-friendly identification sheets and digital apps.
4. Remove barriers to being able to deliver outdoor lessons.
5. Access our support network over the summer term and beyond.
If you have any medical, learning or accessibility needs, please don’t hesitate to email us so that we can make any reasonable adjustments.
