The Big Picnic

This May half term and Jubilee bank holiday, bring your family to Dungeness for a great day out. We want you to celebrate with us by bringing along a delicious picnic and enjoy a day out together surrounded by blooming wildflowers, buzzing insects and singing birds, there’s so much to enjoy in nature at this time of year.

Young explorers can help solve the Big Picnic mysteries by joining Detective Hoot and Constable Crumb in collecting all the clues and evidence around the discovery trail and earning their detective badge. And don't forget to take a family snap at the selfie station before you leave. You can pick up a Wildlife Detective activity box when you arrive for just £3.50.

Why not extend your stay with us by hiring our self-led pond dipping equipment for £3, so you and the family can explore the underwater world here at Dungeness.

We have some light refreshments and snacks available in our shop, so you can add a sweet treat or a warm drink to your picnic.

Please note that dogs are not permitted on the discovery trail.

Admission fees apply.
