Join our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides for an hour and a half walking round Newport Wetlands national nature reserve, exploring the important habitats and variety of wildlife that lives here. These walks are tailored to your interests and hobbies. Whether you are looking to improve your bird ID skills, learn about the exceptional history of this site, improve your bird call knowledge or have a brilliant photographer help you with your photography skills - we’ve got the guide for you.

If our times don’t quite suit your plans, drop us an email and we will be more than happy to arrange a walk at a different time during the day.
These walks are perfect for a family or a group of 4 - 5 people who want to learn whilst enjoying their walk. Don’t forget to bring some binoculars to help or you can hire a pair from our shop (Open 10am-4pm). The café is a perfect place to grab a coffee or bite to eat before and/or after your adventure (Open 10am-4pm).
Please note, Newport wetlands is open 9am-5pm and you require a car park token to leave. Non-RSPB members £3, Members: free. Dogs are not permitted on these events. All routes are wheelchair accessible and we have free to hire mobility scooters available.
