Lodmoor is a quiet haven for wildlife in the popular seaside town of Weymouth. The combination of a large reedbed, open water, saltmarsh, wet grassland and bushes attract a variety of wildlife.
Discover Lodmoor is an opportunity to take a walk around the wonderful Lodmoor nature reserve, lead by an RSPB guide. Happening every other week on Thursday mornings, this is a perfect way to discover the wildlife on Weymouth's doorstep and immerse yourself in all that nature has to offer.
Join us for an 1 hour and a half guided walk around the reserve, as we admire the sights and sounds of the wetlands, the tuneful calls of birdsong and the soft movement of the reeds. Watch out for glimpses of Lodmoor's birdlife or even one of our resident small mammals.
New to nature? This is an introductory level walk, aimed at beginners but open to all. Whether you are local to Weymouth or visiting the area, we would love for you to join us as we take a walk to Discover Lodmoor.
