Birds for Beginners

At any age people can take up a new hobby, and decide they would like to learn which bird is which. The last few years have led more and more people to appreciate the nature that's all around us. We all start somewhere! Join one of our friendly Visitor Team members to introduce you to bird watching, this fun walk is beginner friendly and there is no question is too basic or silly - ask whatever you like!

Together we will explore and learn more about the birds of Rainham Marshes. Want to know the difference between a wader and a warbler? This is the walk for you! Whether you are looking to just relax amongst nature, or wanting somewhere to start with learning your birds that doesn't involve constantly referring to a book or google. We will also talk about feeding and encouraging the birds to your own garden. Families are very welcome. Adults must accompany children.

Buy tickets in advance online to secure your place.
