BOOKING ESSENTIAL (spaces are limited, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment).
Some of the greatest spectacles of nature take place at dusk. Join our guide to enjoy Svalbard barnacle geese descending on the sandflat and reserve to roost.
This will involve a 2.5km, slightly muddy walk to the viewing location. Please bring a torch for returning to the car park afterwards.
Older children (10+ years) are welcome on this walk (half price charge, please pay lower charge at event) but must be pre-booked and accompanied by a participating adult.
Additional car parking charges apply to non-RSPB members (to be paid at reserve). Please meet in the visitor centre, before start time.
This event takes place at a reserve where access is prone to flooding (especially during periods of high rainfall, storms or tidal surges). We will endeavour to contact you in advance of any events if we believe that access will be affected. If the event needs to be cancelled at short notice (2 hours prior to event start), we will try to call you directly by email or preferably by telephone.
