The Titchwell Experience

We’re offering you a unique opportunity to discover the reserve’s hidden gems and often missed wildlife in the company of our species experts. You'll start your day with our moth specialists looking at who spent the night in our traps. Then it's on to the reserve to discover the world of fungi, lichens, wild flowers and grasses alongside other vertebrate species. Stop along the way and listen to songbirds calling from the reedbeds or within the woodlands and keep your eyes peeled for the odd bird or two!

After a scrummy lunch in the cafe, you'll spend the afternoon with one of our experienced bird guides looking specifically for a wide variety of species across wetland and woodland habitats before heading to the beach to spot shoreline and seabirds. The afternoon will also include identification of saltmarsh and dune flora, some marine life and elements of habitat management.

From fragile moths to impressive raptors, expect to see between 200 and 300 different species of wildlife. This is a full day experience so expect to walk a considerable distance as you will be covering all of the reserve.

We can also offer a MORNING ONLY experience. This will include looking at the moth traps, followed by a detailed walk through Titchwell's woodland and reedbed habitats looking at flora, invertebrates, birds and mammals. Lunch is not included.
