Whether it's bug hunting, puddle splashing or getting crafty, at Nature Tots you can expect an all-round adventure!
This month we'll be exploring the woods in winter and making some wonderful woodland crafts, to decorate your tree at home!
Nature Tots at RSPB Arne is a monthly nature group aimed at preschool children aged between 2 ½ and 5 years old. You and your child will be able to meet some of the amazing wildlife that we are giving a home to on our nature reserve, while learning something new, getting a bit mucky and having lots of fun. Sessions are usually around the middle of each month and last for about an hour.
We will be outdoors during the whole session, waterproof coats and wellies are recommended for rainy days, and sunhats and plenty of sun cream during the spring and summer months. Please bring a drink (and snack) for your child. Parents are welcome to make use of our café for hot drinks, snacks and cakes after the session.
Each session is £6 per child (+processing fee of 75p). Entry to the reserve for one accompanying adult per child ticket is FREE. If you are an RSPB member, you will need to bring your membership card and show it as you go through the welcome area in the main carpark on arrival. Please show your Nature Tots tickets as you go though the welcome area.
Booking is essential, and spaces are limited! Children are to be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times during the session.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Nature Tots sessions are for pre-school children from 2.5 to 5 years old. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times, throughout the session. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? See our website for train, bus, bike, and road options. Our carpark is located on the right at the beginning of Arne village. Arne Nature Reserve, Dorset - The RSPB What can I bring into the event? We recommend suitable outdoor clothing for the weather conditions as we will be outside throughout the session – waterproofs and wellies or sunhats depending on the season. Apply suncream and insect repellent prior to the event if you require it. You are welcome to visit the on-site café after the session. No dogs, except registered assistance dogs please. Do you cater for special dietary needs? Please bring a drink and snack for your child - we stop for a break part-way through. Yes, our on-site cafe catering team can cater for any special dietary requirements – please advise them when ordering. Can I stay on the reserve after the session? Yes, members have free entry to the reserve. Non-members FREE reserve entry for one accompanying adult only lasts for the duration of the event. Non-members who decide to stay are asked to pay for entry (or join the RSPB) when the Welcome Area opens. The Welcome Area, shop and cafe open at 9.30am, daily. How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Email arne@rspb.org.uk. All bookings must be made online. What's the refund policy? If we cancel an event for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Should you need to cancel, then you receive a full refund up to three days before the event, after which no refund is available. Cancellations must be made using the email address arne@rspb.org.uk Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Please bring proof of your ticket or email confirmation with you. RSPB members should bring their membership cards with them please. |
