Birdwatching for Beginners Course at RSPB Arne (Lunch Provided)

Join us at RSPB Arne for our new Birdwatching for Beginners course. Get to grips with basic birdwatching skills and improve your confidence in identifying UK birds.

This spring at Arne we are offering a full day birdwatching course for beginners. Perfect if you want to learn more about finding and identifying the birds we have here at Arne or even in your garden at home.

You will be guided by wildlife experts to improve your skills in basic spotting and identification across several habitats. These include garden and hedgerow birds, wading birds and wildfowl, and heathland specialists.

The day will include an introductory talk with one of our expert volunteers, followed by guided walks around different areas of the reserve to put your skills to the test. Visit our amazing undercover hides armed with newfound knowledge and confidence. Resources to assist you will be provided and binoculars can be hired from Arne shop on the day. No prior knowledge/experience necessary.

The price of your ticket will include a hot lunch option provided in the Arne café.

*Please note this event will include a full day of walking and being on your feet. We will walk several miles over the course of the day, please consider this before purchasing a ticket. Please enquire about hiring a mobility tramper for this event if you feel that this would allow you to take part.*
