Discovering moths and butterflies - family activity at RSPB Ham Wall

Do you love moths and butterflies? Would you like to find out more about the moths we can find in our gardens during the night time and the butterflies we can spot during the day?

Join us as we discover which garden moths we have caught in a moth trap the previous night, and go on an adventure around the reserve to spot as many butterflies as we can, learning more about their life cycles and which plants they like to feed from!

This is a fun, family activity designed to give you knowledge on the different garden moths active during the night, and butterflies and day flying moths you can spot during the day.

This event is aimed at families with children aged between 5-12 years. Children will need to be supervised at all times by an adult (aged 18+).
