Enjoy a sunset walk with the dramatic spectacle of Saltholme’s landscape as our wildlife begins to settle in for the night.
Saltholme is a magical place to be as the sun goes down. As waders and wildfowl flock back after a day feeding on the estuary and with mesmerizing Starling murmurations, the stage is set for a spectacular evening.
Keep your eyes peeled for Peregrine Falcon and Marsh Harrier, that often make an appearance in search of an evening meal.
With so much activity, accompanied by a cup of soup, you won’t be disappointed.
This event is outside so please ensure you wrap up warmly and wear suitable footwear.
Please arrive promptly for a 3pm start starlings roost at dusk so any delays in beginning the event could cause the group to miss the spectacle. As we are viewing wildlife there is no guarantee of what we will see each evening.
There is no access to the Visitor Centre (or toilets) at the end of the event, once the event is over attendees will return directly to the reserve car park.
