Rye Meads Sensory Trail

Connecting with nature means tuning in all your senses... feel, smell, hear and see your way around the reserve as you explore Rye Meads on our Sensory Trail!

We've teamed up with Sense.org and Ordnance Survey to create our Sensory Trail - allowing you to use your senses to connect with your surroundings whilst you stay active.

Use the OS Map to follow our route and to locate the sensory highlights, and look out for our Sensory Trust Trail Icons around the reserve. The route is pushchair and wheelchair accessible.

You can find out more about Sense.org and other Sensory Walks in your area here.

The Sensory Trail is completely free and there is no need to book, just drop in!

RSPB Rye Meads is open from 9am-5pm every day, excluding 25 and 26 December.

Please note: Dogs are not permitted on the reserve (except assistance dogs), due to the sensitive wildlife and habitats here.
