Looking for a family adventure? Are your children aged between 5 - 12 years old? Join us at Nature Explorers for a programme jam-packed with fun, learning and outdoor play.
We all know how important it is for children to spend time outdoors. Let your child's imagination run wild and escape everyday life whilst spending that all-too-important time together as a family.
Our sessions are designed to boost your child's confidence in nature and help them build skills for life.Let your kids just be kids as you learn about how the reserve has gone from a coal face to a wild place, and how you can help nature at home.
From building bug hotels to discovering what lurks at RSPB Fairburn Ings after dark, there's something for everyone!
Tickets include free entry for a supervising adult. If you would like more adults to attend, don't hesitate to contact the reserve as places are limited.
Children must always be accompanied by an adult at our events.
All our experiences are outdoors unless specified. In the case of severely extreme weather, we may cancel the session to maintain a high-quality experience, if this is the case we will get in touch with you. Please check the forecast before visiting and dress accordingly.
Study footwear is always recommended.
Facilities include toilets & accessible toilets, refreshments, a picnic area, baby changing facilities.
