Discover RSPB's Titchwell Marsh for free during National Lottery Open Week when you bring a National Lottery ticket or scratchcard past or present. Each ticket is valid between 9 and 17 March 2024 for up to 2 adults and 3 children*.
Nestled between the villages of Titchwell and Thornham, Titchwell Marsh is bursting with diverse habitats that include reedbeds, saltmarsh and freshwater lagoons. In spring visitors can watch marsh harriers spiralling high overhead in a courtship skydance, hear the booming of the bittern as well as the metallic 'ping-ping' of the much smaller bearded tits. Visit our quiet woodland copses for more bird song this time from Cetti's warblers, spotted flycatchers and the soulful purr of the turtle dove or head to our sandy beach, host to seabirds and other marine life all year round. At low tide areas of petrified forest and remnants from the Second World War are exposed which have become natural 'reefs' making the shoreline ideal for beachcombing or a family scavenger hunt.
And there are plenty of opportunities for young explorers to get close to wildlife on our multi-habitat reserve. Seasonal variations in fauna and flora make the reserve the perfect venue all year round for families to explore the natural world. Self-led trails inspire curiosity whilst our backpacks include everything they need for a wildlife adventure. Pushchair friendly paths and easily accessible hides mean wildlife is only a step away and our friendly and informative team is always on hand to help you have a memorable and wild experience.
You'll also find an onsite café offering a much needed break and a range of delicious and sustainable selection of hot and cold snacks, soups, cakes, ice creams and hot and cold drinks including vegan and vegetarian options. We also have five signposted trails, viewing platforms, hides and offer binocular hire allowing you to see as much as possible.
So come and visit us at Titchwell Marsh this spring for National Lottery Open Week. With free entry for up to 2 adults and 3 children with your National Lottery ticket or scratchcard there's never been a better time. Or if you're already a member then why not bring a friend or two for free too?
