RSPB Pelagic Seabird Cruise 2024

Please note: Booking for the Pelagic Cruises will open at 10am on Friday 5 April.

When summer turns to autumn this area can be a great place to watch multitudes of migrating seabirds. Sail out into the North Sea on the famous MV Yorkshire Belle from Bridlington and look for seabirds such as Shearwaters, Skuas, Divers, Auks, Gulls and Terns, in addition to marine life such as Porpoises and Seals.

Fish bits are thrown overboard to bring the birds close to the boat, helping with good views and photographic opportunities of these often hard-to-see birds.

RSPB volunteers are on board to share their knowledge and the on-board commentary helps everyone to get the most out of the cruise.

The beautiful Yorkshire Belle is the last of the great pleasure cruisers.  She has indoor and outdoor seating, toilet facilities, and drinks and snacks are available from the bar.

Suitable for adults who are bird enthusiasts and, to make your experience more exclusive and comfortable, we will be sailing with fewer passengers on board than pre-Covid.

Early booking is advisable as these cruises do sell out very quickly.

Why not check out our other seabird cruises:

Puffin & Gannet cruises sail from early May to end July. Get nose-to-beak with up to half a million seabirds nesting on the cliffs at the height of the breeding season.

Puffin & Diving Gannet cruises sail towards the end of July. Get nose-to-beak with up to half a million seabirds and enjoy the spectacle of diving Gannets.

Diving Gannets cruises sail on 3 dates in August to spot the wonderfully fluffy baby gannets on the cliffs before treating passengers to the sight of gannets diving around the boat. The last of these on 25 August will also include throwing chum to attract migrant (and other) seabirds to fly close to the boat.

·         All tickets are non-refundable unless the skipper has to cancel due to rough sea conditions in which case refunds will automatically be given.

·         Accessibility - please check the Yorkshire Belle website here  for assistance and boarding information as there are unfortunately restrictions based on mobility.

·         Bring suitable outdoor/waterproof clothing as it is often cold out at sea.

·         Sorry - no dogs (except accessible), tripods, telescopes or smoking on board

.         All guidelines to avoid recreational disturbance to wildlife will be respected throughout this cruise.

·         This amazing wildlife spectacle occurs in the North Sea so please think carefully before booking if you suffer from seasickness.
