Night time safari at Pulborough Brooks - nightjars on the heath

As the sun sets we’ll lead you on a night-time walk onto the heathland. We’ll take a closer look at some marvellous moths and then head out on a search for mysterious Nightjars, brilliant bats and other night creatures!

To make sure we’re in the middle of all the action, we’ll have exclusive access to the central heathland where visitors aren’t normally able to explore and we’ll have bat detectors to use as we walk through the woods.

Information on access around the trails

The heathland trail is a sandy trail with some steeper slopes and uneven, with tree roots in places. The route we usually take is not suitable for our tramper mobility buggy or for manual wheelchairs. If you do have restricted mobility please get in touch before booking and we can discuss what adaptations can be made.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for your adventure. If you have binoculars then do bring them along. You may also want to bring along a torch.

Toilets at the visitor centre will be open at the start and end of the event.

Your event ticket includes nature trail entry fees where applicable but does not include the parking charge. (Parking charge for non-members £3 per day)
