Birdwatching for Beginners - Guided Walks at RSPB Arne

Always wanted to take your birdwatching skills to that next level? Join some of our expert volunteers to seek out and listen for an array of bird species across Arne, no previous experience required. The day shall encompass everything from understanding optics, to learning basic spotting and identification tips. The walk will cover everything from coastal waders, to open habitat and garden birds, for whether you wish to identify Arne's heathland specialists, or simply know what can be found from your garden at home. Be able to visit any bird hide with newfound knowledge and confidence! Please feel free to bring any binoculars with you. Alternatively, they can be hired from the shop. Identification resources can be provided on the day.

Please note that the walking terrain can be hazardous so it is advised to bring appropriate footwear. Trampers are also available to hire, please enquire for further details if this would help you partake in this event. This event may be cancelled at short notice due to severe weather conditions. Please meet by the shop/café at the start of the event.

Please note: This is a one-day event only, separate from the Birdwatching for Beginners - 3-week Course event. Each ticket also includes a coffee and cake catering offer from our café.
