Join us this International Women's Day for a gathering of like-minded women who are passionate about nature conservation. The day will consist of welcome refreshments at the Nagshead visitor centre, followed by a short talk on the work we do at Nagshead. After this we will head out on the reserve to do a practical habitat management task, before finishing up around 3pm and heading back to the visitor centre.
This day is perfect for those wanting a hands-on day out on the reserve as well as the opportunity to learn more about nature conservation.
Please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place, places are limited and offered on a first come first served basis.
As the day will consist of time spent both inside and outside, please come prepared with warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy boots. Gloves can be provided if you don't have a pair to bring. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you and anything else you might need. There are toilets available at the visitor centre and a toilet tent will be provided for the afternoon task out on the reserve.
No previous experience is needed as all training will be given on how to use any tools. In case of extreme weather we may need to cancel the event in which case we will get in touch and you will be refunded.
This event is open to anybody who identifies as a woman. We also welcome non- binary people who feel comfortable in a women's only space to this event. A full accessibility statement is available on our website, please contact us if you wish to discuss access requirements.
