Photography Workshop - Islay's Winter Birdlife Festival

David Dinsley is a wildlife photographer who also happens to work and live on the Isle of Islay. His day job as a RSPB Warden on the Oa allows him opportunities to survey and manage habitats for rare Scottish species including Chough and Corncrake as well as photographing them.

Led by David this workshop will explore some of the key issues when starting out photographing wildlife. Beginners' tips will be explored as well as some of the more artistic and technical elements of photography in the wild. A short indoor session will be followed by a longer outdoor session where these skills can be put into practice.

Further assistance from RSPB staff will be on hand to help with identifying species and provide further insights into the species you will be photographing.  Finally, a number of images will be chosen by the group for display in the Gaelic centre.   Although not essential some photographic equipment would be welcome and waterproofs and sensible footwear will be needed for the outdoor session.
