Snettisham and Titchwell Marsh Birding Safari - Fully Booked

Embark on an unforgettable birding experience with a visit to two of Norfolk's top nature reserves. Start your day early with a visit to Snettisham reserve, where you'll witness a breathtaking sight as up to 80,000 wading birds take flight in unison during high tide. Prepare to be mesmerised by the sight of large flocks of knot whirling and wheeling across The Wash. This spectacle is unique to Snettisham and only happens on particular days, so make sure you bring your camera! Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll also look for other bird species on the shoreline, lagoons and out to sea.

After a scrummy brunch, you’ll make your way to Titchwell Marsh reserve. This mosaic of quiet woodlands, sweeping reedbeds and bird filled lagoons opens out to a stunning beach making it an ideal location for birdwatching. The reserve serves as a vital rest stop for spring migrants traveling to and from breeding grounds so there’s plenty of variety to see. Keep your eyes peeled for more dazzling aerial performances as Marsh Harriers take to the air in courtship display. This is also the perfect time to listen out for the soft ping of Bearded Tits and the rich soulful boom of the Bittern.

And if that’s not enough, you can drop in for a chat with our moth maestros and check out which species enjoyed an overnight stay in the moth motel. These amazing creatures will have you captivated and are great for macro photography. If you’re keen to know more then we’ll let you in on how to set up your own light trap at home!

This all-day event is tailored for those who love nature, but has a special focus on North Norfolk's migrant and resident bird species. Group size is limited to four. Ticket price include reserve entry, brunch, snacks and drinks. Transport between reserves is not provided.
