Gardening for Wildlife at RSPB Flatford Wildlife Garden

Have you been thinking about managing your garden to benefit more wildlife? Then we’re excited to invite you to an exclusive wildlife gardening talk and tour around the garden when it is closed. Flatford Wildlife Garden has been designed as a showcase to benefit and protect wildlife. You will join two RSPB staff members, including the Head Gardener, for a tour of the garden where you will be inspired with ideas and knowledge to plan and make your own wildlife friendly garden.

Birds, Hedgehogs, Bees, Butterflies, Newts, Frogs, Stag Beetles and many other species all find refuge in gardens, and you will learn simple ways you can help them. We’ll finish the talk with local, sustainably sourced refreshments as the sun begins to set. Before you leave you can choose a plant to take home. The volunteer gardening team propagate plants for sale from the wildlife friendly plants in the garden.

Gardens form a large living landscape and the way they are cared for can make a vast difference to the wildlife that passes through or finds a home there. Working together people can change the natural world for the better. The best part, sit back, enjoy your garden view and see what wildlife visits.
