Open Day

On 2 March, it's our Open Day at the reserve. We will be celebrating 50 years of RSPB Lochwinnoch and we would love you to come and join us in our celebrations.

We have lots of fun activities for you to enjoy on the day. You can let the kids go wild in the natural play area, walk the fairy path or bang out a tune in the acoustic play area. Families can also have fun participating in our Big Birthday Bash self-led activity. Tell your little ones to keep their eyes peeled as you explore the trails and they may spot some wild party-animals! For the Open Day, this fun activity will be half-price, £1.75 per activity pack.

Or why not just stroll the woodland path, then visit the boardwalk and enjoy the wildlife and fantastic scenery?   If you feel lucky, why not go to the tombola stall and see if you can win a prize? All proceeds will help the reserve. You could also make your own apple bird feeder for ‘crafty kids’ to take home. Remember to hang up your feeder at home and enjoy watching the birds eat this tasty treat.

During the day, there will be free parking for everyone and the reserve shop will sell hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, and snacks.   So come and help us celebrate! Our friendly staff and volunteers look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy your day.
