The Dawn Chorus is one of the UK’s greatest wildlife spectacles – so why not join us to discover Lodmoor’s own Dawn Chorus orchestra! It is an event not to be missed, as we take you across the wetland to identify and learn more about the site’s resident and migrant bird song.
Embrace the opportunity to experience the reserve in the early hours, to enjoy the gentle serenity of light reflecting across the pools and hear the different bird calls as they begin to set up breeding territories. The walk will start at the reserve entrance opposite the Beach car park (Preston Road, DT4 7SX).
Please note the walk may be cancelled at short notice if adverse weather conditions are forecast. There are no facilities on the reserve or car park. The nearest public facilities can be found by RSPB Radipole Lake, in the Swannery car park (DT4 7BG) which is a 5-minute drive away. We advise to bring your own optics and refreshments as you wish.
