Spring Wildlife Walk at Lakenheath Fen

**PLEASE NOTE- MULTIPLE DATES AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT - PLEASE CLICK ON 'VIEW MORE DATES' ABOVE**

In April & May, Spring is well underway and there is a lot to see at Lakenheath Fen. Join us to look and listen for Bitterns, Common cranes, Bearded tits and the first migrant warblers and Cuckoo.

On this guided walk of approximately three miles, your volunteer guides will take you on a walking tour through a wide variety of habitats we have here at the reserve. There is so much to see in Spring- most warblers like Whitethroat, Reed, Sedge and Willow warblers will be singing their hearts out, to a backdrop of regularly booming Bitterns. You should see Marsh harriers gliding over the reedbeds as they tend to their nests and the first Dragonflies will be rising up on the warm air.

Whether you are a seasoned wildlife watcher or just beginning to enjoy the natural world, this guided walk is suitable for everyone and questions are welcome. Please wear strong, waterproof footwear as some areas will be uneven, and please bring plenty of water to drink as it could be quite warm (if we are lucky!).
