Calling all Early Birds to come down to Old Moor for our Dawn Chorus Walk. Join Dave Waddington RSPB Old Moors’ very own senior site warden and well-respected bird expert as he sets out on his annual Dawn Chorus walk to discover one of nature’s most uplifting wonders.
Arrive at the Old Moor Visitors Centre at 4:45am for tea or coffee and to tide you over. The walk will start at 5:00am.
Experience a symphony of birdsong while Dave takes you around and helps you identify the many different species singing away, based on their significant song. As the sunlight breaks through, the reserve becomes a hive of activity way before our first visitors arrive for the day. After the walk draws to an end around 8:00am, we will serve a Bap and drink up on the café deck, looking over the reserve. You can choose between a bacon/sausage/vegetarian sausage/fried egg sandwich with your choice of a tea or coffee.
