Dorset Forest Bathing at RSPB Arne

Relax and unwind on this guided Forest Bathing experience in the beautiful surroundings of Arne.

Come along on this relaxed and fun experience and find out all about what it involves (no water or swimming) how it can improve your physical health and wellbeing, how you can practice it on your own, and most of all enjoy spending a peaceful 2.5 hours in a beautiful RSPB reserve woodland. We'll be in a fairly small group but you'll be carrying out guided exercises on your own.

The knowledgeable guide will cover information about the history of forest bathing, and the science behind how it benefits us. This sensory experience will give you the opportunity to really slow down, find space, and appreciate what seasonal nature has to offer.

You will need to walk around 1.5 miles in total, mostly at a slow pace, sometimes on uneven and possibly wet/muddy ground. Please bring suitable layers for the weather conditions and temperature, remember we'll be in the shade and often staying still.

Please wear shoes that you are comfortable walking through the undergrowth in. I can offer a small mat to sit on but if you prefer you can bring a blanket. Sitting on the ground is optional if you prefer not to.

This session is a calm and tranquil experience and therefore is aimed at adults, please do not bring dogs on this walk. If it needs to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions such as a weather warning, you will be notified by email as soon as possible and will be refunded or able to book on to a subsequent date.

Parking at Arne is included in the cost of this event. There are toilets, a shop and a cafe on site.
