Bluebell And Wildflower Guided Walk At Garston Wood

Join us this spring for a guided walk around RSPB Garston Wood. This ancient woodland is home to rare spring flowering plants, coppiced Hazel and spectacular mature Oaks. Witness the magnificent sight of the woodland carpeted by bluebells and a multitude of other flowers along the way. This walk is perfect for people who are new to nature and want to learn more about woodlands or nature enthusiasts who just want to gaze at this beautiful scenery.

  Please be aware, there are no facilities, e.g., toilets or refreshments at Garston Wood. There is a small carpark and overflow parking for events. Please see the event FAQ's for more details.

When booking please provide a valid phone number and e-mail as your booking confirmation will be sent via e-mail. We need a valid phone number (landline and mobile) in case we need to get hold of you urgently to update you with changes/cancellation. Thank you for your co-operation.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? These events are for adults, but if you would like an older child to attend, due to their specific interest in the dawn chorus, please contact us: arne@rspb.org.uk

What are my transport options for getting to and from the event? Where do I park? Address: RSPB Garston Wood, Dean Lane, Sixpenny Handley, Salisbury, SP5 5PA. See our website for train, bus, bike, and road options: https://www.rspb.org.uk/GarstonWood The carpark is located on the edge of the woods, near the northern end. If it is full, you will be directed to additional parking about halfway along the woods. Please arrive a little early in case you need to park in the overflow and walk back to the entrance (via the woods, not on the road).

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Please bring your printed or electronic proof of your ticket or email confirmation with you. RSPB members should bring their membership cards with them please.

What can I bring into the event? We recommend suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear - some paths may be muddy if the weather has been wet prior to the event. If you have them, please bring your own binoculars and camera, but please do not record other event participants or the volunteer leaders. You may wish to carry a drink and/or snack. No dogs, except registered assistance dogs please.

Are there toilets or refreshments available at the reserve? Please be aware, there are no toilets or refreshment facilities at Garston Wood

. Can I stay on the reserve after the walk? Yes, RSPB Garston Wood is open to the public at all times.

What's the refund policy? If we cancel an event for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Should you need to cancel, then you receive a full refund up to three days before the event, after which no refund is available. Cancellations must be made using the email address: arne@rspb.org.uk
