From dabbling ducks, to wonderful waders, join one of our expert guides to discover Arne’s winter birdlife scene.
The walk will start by the shop and café, taking you across the Coombe heath trail to find out what lies across our heathland and coastal habitats at this time of year. The walk will finish back at the café for coffee and cake, all included within the ticket price.
Please note: The walk may be cancelled at short notice if adverse weather conditions are forecast. Feel free to bring your own optics as you wish. Alternatively, they can be hired from the shop. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Older children allowed.

Do you cater for special dietary needs? Yes, our café can cater for different dietary requirements, with vegan and gluten free options available. Please let us know of these when booking onto this event.
Is this event accessible? Yes, the walk is suitable for wheelchair users. Off-road mobility trampers can also be hired for this event. To find out more, please email: arne@rspb.org.uk. What can I bring into the event? We recommend suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. You may wish to carry a drink and/or snack. No dogs, except registered assistance dogs please.
Can I stay on the reserve after the walk? Yes, Arne is open from Dawn to Dusk but you’ll need to pay for entry into the reserve if you stay on beyond the time of the event. So why not make the most of your time and explore at your leisure after the walk.

What's the refund policy? If we cancel an event for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Should you need to cancel, then you receive a full refund up to three days before the event, after which no refund is available. Cancellations must be made using the email address arne@rspb.org.uk
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No - Please bring proof of your ticket or email confirmation with you. RSPB members should bring their membership cards with them please.
