Dawn Chorus Guided Walk at Coed Llandegla Forest

About: Wake up to a cacophony of sound this spring and discover the dawn chorus big show. Our volunteers will lead you on a wander through the forest to learn more about bird watching, bird identification and the wildlife that lives at Coed Llandegla. Get useful tips and advice to build your confidence.

Booking essential: there are only 15 spaces per walk, so you'll need to book your place. Non-RSPB members £13.50, members £11.00, children £7.00 (children under 6 years old are free of charge). Our prices are per person and per day. Cost includes £1.00 booking fee.

When can you see us? You'll need to set your alarm clock. Guided walks start at 5.30am. General parking at Coed Llandegla Forest will be available and parking fees won’t be applied outside of the car park opening hours. Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time. Walkers should meet outside of the OnePlanet Café. This event involves a walk approximately of 3 miles and therefore requires a certain amount of physical fitness. Unfortunately, the walk is not suitable for wheelchair users, persons with mobility issues or pushchairs.

What's at the site? When you return from your guided walk, why not pop into the visitor centre for hot drinks and a freshly cooked breakfast - it is perhaps worth noting that the OnePlanet Adventure Cafe has won several awards for their breakfasts!

What should I bring? Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear should be worn. Please bring along a drink and/or snack for the walk. We also recommend bringing your own binoculars.
