Big Wild Sleepout

Big Wild Sleepout is back - join us for a wonderful night camping out under the stars at RSPB Saltholme.

This is a unique opportunity for families to spend a night out in the wild! Join us for an afternoon of adventure and a night camping under the stars; drift off to the sound of Grasshopper Warblers humming in the grass and wake up with the Common Terns; breakfast in a bird hide is sure to be one to remember- what else will you discover during your night on the reserve?

Take part in fun nature activities and join us for a guided twilight walk. Glimpse inside the moth trap and discover some of our smallest winged creatures! We’ll also be gathering around the campfire for some campfire cooking and to share stories. As the sun sets we'll crawl into our tents and drift off to sleep, listening to the sounds of Saltholme's amazing wildlife.

Saltholme is a closed reserve overnight, so our Big Wild Sleepout really is a unique opportunity to spend time here when nobody else is around.

New for 2024 - Catering!

Dinner on Saturday night is included in your ticket!

We'll be serving jacket potatoes for dinner on Saturday with different topping options, including ones for dietary requirements. You can choose from cheese, tuna or a five bean chilli!

When buying tickets you will need to choose your dinner by selecting a product and adding this to the basket.

If you have any questions about the options or need to know any allergen information then please just get in touch!
