*December date will be different.
Nature Tots at RSPB Arne is a monthly nature group aimed at preschool children aged between 2 ½ and 5 years old. You and your child will be able to meet some of the amazing creatures that we are giving a home to on our nature reserve, while learning something new, getting a bit mucky and having lots of fun. We will be outdoors during the session, waterproof coats and wellies are recommended for rainy days, and sunhats and plenty of sun cream during the spring and summer months. Refreshments will be provided for children (usually juice). Parents are welcome to make use of our café for hot drinks, snacks and cakes after the session.
Each session is £5 per child (+processing fee). Parking is now FREE for the duration of the event, if you are not members of the RSPB you will be provided with a car park ticket, allowing you free use of the car park for the duration of the event. If you are members, you will need to bring your membership card and place on the dashboard of your car on arrival.
Booking is essential, and spaces are limited! Children are to be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times during the session.

Please make sure your child is wearing clothing appropriate to the weather. The weather at Arne can change quite quickly so come prepared! The session will be in the cafe garden, and while it isn't likely, there is a chance there will be ticks among the grass. If you are worried about this, best dress your child in long sleeves and long trousers. Similarly, the ground is uneven and there might be nettles, so just be aware of where you and your child are walking to avoid any tears.
Please meet by the cafe garden outdoor seating ready for a prompt 10:00am start. The session will finish at 11:00am.
If you are an RSPB member you will need to place your membership card on your car dash, you are then able to enjoy the reserve for the day, even beyond the timings of the event. If you aren't an RSPB member, we will provide you with a temporary car park ticket, valid for the duration of the event. (If you and your child would like to enjoy the reserve for the rest of the day you will need to return to the car park to buy a car park ticket). You can pick this temporary ticket up from the welcome/information hut in the car park.
