Burton Mere Wetlands 10th Anniversary

In celebration of ten years of Burton Mere Wetlands as the heart of the RSPB Dee Estuary nature reserve, we're offering free entry to everyone including non-RSPB members for one weekend only.

If you've never been or haven't visited for years, come and see how much the place has developed, from the landscape and wildlife spectacles to the modern facilities in place to make immersing yourself in nature easy and enjoyable.

There's a couple of miles of surfaced trails, three fully accessible hides and other viewpoints, plus our unique visitor centre with panoramic views of the wetlands complete with light refreshments and a small RSPB shop.

Entry is usually free to RSPB members, with a small entry charge for non-members to contribute to our nature conservation work, but we'd love curious locals to pop down to see how much hard work has been done over the past decade, and hear from our friendly team our conservation successes and plans for the future.

No need to book, just turn up on the day between 9.30am and 5pm (site closes at 7pm).
