FAQs

What parking and facilities are available at the reserve? Car Parking is available in the large RSPB car park (BA6 9SX) but please note that car parking charges apply to non-RSPB members (£3 all day). RSPB members scan membership cards for free parking. Cycle racks are available near the Info Point in the car park. Our toilets and baby changing facilities are located in the car park near to the Info Point and Catering Kiosk. Our Catering Kiosk serves hot and cold drinks, prepacked snacks and ice creams (see https://www.rspb.org.uk/hamwall for opening times).

Is there a minimum age requirement for the event?  Due to the length of the walks, we do not recommend them for children under 10 years of age.

Are dogs permitted on the walk?  Dogs are not able to join the walk as we will be going onto parts of the reserve where dogs are not permitted.

Will these walks go onto areas of the reserve not normally accessible to the public?  These walks will stay on the publicly accessible areas of the reserve. Only our Walks with Wardens Walks go onto closed areas of the reserve. Please see our events page to book your place on one of these walks if you’d like to see normally closed areas of the reserve.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?  If you have any unanswered questions, please email us at ham.wall@rspb.org.uk.
