Titchwell Marsh is a natural retreat abundant with birds, small mammals, and various wildlife. Autumn is the perfect time to observe migrants such as Wheatears, Whinchats and Curlew Sandpipers passing through. Winter visitors including Brent Geese, Brambling and Knot are slowly arriving to spend the colder months here. As dusk falls, Marsh Harriers and Little Egrets can be spotted returning to their evening roosts and you may spot a few small Starling murmurations as the sun dips below the horizon.
Look out for colourful fungi such as Scarlett Elf Caps and Jelly Ears peppered around the woodlands and nature trails. Out on the beach, Mussels, Whelks and Cockles can be seen washed up on the shore and this is also a great place to look for Gannets and sea ducks.
