Father Christmas at Minsmere

We are very excited that Father Christmas has taken some time out of his incredibly busy schedule to visit us here at Minsmere!

On arrival you will be greeted by our woodland elf who will walk you through the wood to meet Father Christmas and his elves in his Grotto.

Each family ticket for Father Christmas is for one child, if you have additional children, you will need to book an additional ticket/time slot, next to your original time.

There will be an opportunity for you to have your photo taken with Father Christmas, this will be on your own camera or phone (please be aware that a photographer is not included), and each ticket will include one gift. You are welcome to bring older siblings but they will not receive a gift. Each time slot is 15 minutes and is just for your group, if you are a large group and need longer than 15 minutes, we would recommend you book an additional time slot next to your allocated time.

Each family ticket includes one accompanying adult free. Usual reserve entry fees apply for any other non-members adults. Advance booking is essential due to limited time slots. Please report to the Visitor Centre reception about 15 minutes before your session to allow time to reach the Discovery Centre.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?  Minsmere is signposted from the A12 and the village of Westleton (two miles away). On arrival there is a large, free car park. Cycle racks are available at the visitor centre. There are toilets in the visitor centre

What can I bring into the event?  Even though this event takes places indoors, we recommend suitable outdoor clothing so that you can enjoy a walk on the reserve. Bring your own binoculars and camera if you have them. The reserve cafe will be open from 10 am to 3.30 pm, but you may wish to carry a drink and/or snack. No dogs, except registered assistance dogs please

Do I need binoculars?  Not for this event, but if you are planning on a walk as well then we recommend that everyone has binoculars so that you don’t miss any of the spectacular wildlife on the reserve. If you don’t have any, they can be hired from the shop for £5 or £7.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?  Email minsmere@rspb.org.uk or call us on 01728 648281 for further details. For cancellations, please ring 01728 648281.

What's the refund policy?  Unfortunately we are unable to refund or transfer any pre-booked tickets. However, as tickets are limited, please let us know if you are no longer able to attend. Tickets will only be available on the day subject to space.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?  If possible, please bring your ticket or email confirmation with you. RSPB members should bring their membership cards with them please.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?  When booking, please list the names of all attendees. On the day we will check the names against the booking, so please make sure that whoever attends knows what name was on their booking.
